Hey there! ð–§·
My name is Valeriya, and I’m currently studying Interactive Arts and Technology at SFU. Previously, I’ve worked as an Interactive Designer at UBC CPD, gaining hands-on experience in instructional design, UI/UX design, web design and development, and visual art.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve had an opportunity to develop knowledge across a spectrum of disciplines, including cognitive psychology, computer science, human-computer interaction, and interactive systems. Now, I am committed to combining these skills into a multidisciplinary approach to design that can help promote change and facilitate meaningful connections.
A little bit about me…
⟢ As a Korean, born and raised in a small town in the Far East of Russia and moved to Canada 10 years ago, I hold a unique combination of 3 different cultures which is often expressed in my art/design and the way I do things. Outside of school and work, I love cooking, going for walks, and lately I’ve been getting more into hiking and spending more time in nature. I also enjoy drawing whenever I have time and inspiration ⟢
